Hidden Hills Chimneys, Checked From the Cap Down
Ask for a Hidden Hills Roof Check

Learn MoreWhat the roof check finds in Hidden Hills
A.E. Hanson began this planned ranch-style community about 1950, and it remains all detached homes, around 740 behind guarded gates. Half were up by 1970, and with no public through streets, the roof visit is what gets a look at a chimney top. Hot, dry summers and occasional winter frost behind the mountains test crowns each year. Santa Anas drive fire weather here, and shaking in 1994 was strongly felt, so top joints deserve a photo.
The Houses
On our Hidden Hills visits: detached ranch-style homes behind guarded gates, mostly owner-occupied, equestrian properties, about 740 units.
On the Roof
Ember screen and cap against Santa Ana winds, the crown after frost and heat, then mortar on stacks that stood through 1994.
Which Metal
Inland of the mountains, embers outrank salt, so a heavy stainless cap with fine mesh suits these ranch-style homes.
Same Day, Nearby
Hidden Hills visits often share a day with Agoura Hills, Canoga Park, Westlake Village.
